SUPPLEMENT A

Tier Certification of Design Documents requires a review of a complete, 100% design drawing package to be delivered exclusively in PDF soft copy by email, FTP, or CD-ROM. All documents must be a) presented in black and white and b) clearly labeled and titled as to the systems represented. Additionally, the documents must be sorted and arranged per the following list.

1)    Program Definition establishing capacity (power and cooling) and Tier objectives

2)    Architectural sheets depicting size, purpose, and access to spaces making up the facility

3)    Architectural/Civil/Structure sheets depicting mitigation for physical security and site considerations

4)    A floor plan of the computer room area showing intended arrangement of computer equipment

5)    Electrical Schematics (one-line) for both medium and low voltage showing the characteristics of the power paths from the service entry to the computer device point-of-connection

6)    Electrical equipment schedules showing number and capacity of all backup power production equipment (typically engine generators), continuous power systems (typically, UPS [static or dynamic] and batteries), distribution transformers and branch circuit distribution

7)    Electrical Panel Schedules for all mechanical equipment (lighting and receptacles schedules are not required)

8)    Emergency Power Off System (if required by local authorities or project owner)

9)    Mechanical Schematics (flow diagram) for the cooling system (including chilled and condenser water piping, valves, and instrumentation for chilled water systems, or similar level of detail for direct expansion or other cooling systems)

10) Mechanical Equipment Schedules (including ambient temperature design conditions and capacities)

11) Makeup water subsystem (if appropriate)

12) Chilled/Condenser Water Treatment subsystem (if appropriate)

13) Computer-room/raised-floor cooling subsystem, including makeup air and humidification subsystems

14) Engine-generator fuel system (bulk storage, point-of-use tanks, pumps, piping and valves, treatment)

15) Fire Detection system

16) Communications/Network Diagrams (path from entrance to property through computer room layout)

17) Sequence of operations for the systems above (Tier IV only)

18) Architectural sheets showing Compartmentalization for A&B sides of critical systems (Tier IV only)
