Uptime Institute Professional Services Accreditations
As an integral part of its expanded Tier Program, the Uptime Institute is pleased to offer the Accredited Tier Designer^®, Accredited Tier Specialist^® and Accredited Operations Specialist^® curriculum. Additionally, Uptime Institute is introducing Advanced Seminars, intensive one-day courses focusing on continued development. Successful completion of the Uptime Institute Advanced Seminars can result in Professional and Expert designations in ATD, ATS, and AOS Accreditations. All courses are developed, delivered, and maintained by Uptime Institute Professional Services. Course Tuition for ATD, ATS, and AOS is US$4,985/attendee and will be invoiced upon acceptance into the course. Course Tuition for the Advanced Seminars is US$2,485/attendee. ATD, ATS, and AOS alumni will receive a reduced rate at US$1,985/attendee. Tuition does not include travel or expenses.

EXPERT	Valid for 3 Years Must complete two additional advanced seminars (4 total). Have submitted content for UI media in the last 3 years. Keep your designation current by attending one advanced seminar per year.


PROFESSIONAL	Valid for 3 Years Must complete two advanced seminars. Have submitted content for UI media in the last 3 years. Keep your designation current by attending one advanced seminar per year.


ACCREDITED	Must complete in-depth, in-person training. Receive passing score on examination.

Description The Accredited Tier Designer course will provide instruction to design professionals on practical application of the Uptime Institute Tiers Standard. Goals include: Enhance Design Professionals’ understanding of the practical requirements of Tier-based design Facilitate consistent application of Tier topology concepts Cover Tier common issues and clarify misconceptions	Description Accredited Tier Specialist was developed for the management team directly responsible for data center uptime. Goals include: Enhanced understanding of the Tier classification system, mechanical and electrical systems Learn about additional tier requirements Introduction to operational sustainability, staffing, and maintenance Understand the importance of training, planning, and operations Cover the importance of building characteristics Review site location	Description This course provides instruction to achieve a complete understanding of the concepts and criteria to complete and develop a comprehensive world class Management & Operations program for a critical facility. Goals include: Learn the concept of operations and maintenance Cover the importance of staffing and maintaining a critical facility Review the need for operational documentation Learn about the importance of training Cover the significance of capacity management Learn about the value of Commissioning Cover site location risk and execution.
Note: All courses are delivered over the course of three days, culminating in a proctored examination.
